ALPHARETTA, Ga. – What does a city sound like? The Alpharetta Raider marching band answers that very question with their innovative and original new halftime show.
Band Director Michael Walsh is proud to present the Alpharetta Marching Raiders as they debut "A Day in the City."
This year's exhilarating performance, arranged by Brett Bawcum, the arranger for the University of Georgia Redcoat Marching Band, evokes the sights and sounds of cities big and small. Senior band member Ben Horne is honored to have arranged one of this year's selections. Horne will also feature as a soloist on baritone along with senior Bernice Lin on the mellophone. Playing music from composers as diverse as Aaron Copeland and Alicia Keys, the Marching Raiders bring the pulse and excitement of the city to Raider Stadium.
Come and enjoy this spectacular musical display and cheer on the Alpharetta Raider football team at their first home game against Milton High School at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31 at Raider Stadium. More information and schedules can be found at www.ahsraiders.com.
