August 20, 2012 CUMMING, Ga. — Banks, medical and technology companies made up just a sample of the 62 booths showcased at the 2012 Business Expo.
The expo was an opportunity for the county's growing business community to create new leads, exchange ideas and best practices.
"A business expo is at the heart of what business is all about," said James McCoy, president and CEO of the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce. "It's also important for people to walk around and take a look at the breadth and depth of business that exists in Cumming and Forsyth County."

"This is what our business community wants to see," said Jason Mock, a director of small business services for the chamber. "It's always great to meet face-to-face."

Forsyth County was one of six markets where the mobile app was tested, said Frank Singleton, a spokesman for NCR. The Duluth-based company is also a member of the chamber in Forsyth County.
NCR Silver is a service for small businesses such as food trucks, dog groomers and other mobile entrepreneurs that offers real time sales opportunities on the go that can easily be tracked from the road or home.
"Small retailers will be able to do business anytime, anywhere," Singleton said.
NCR has a robust network of technicians and have been around for about 125 years, most notably for their cash register and automated teller machines work.
"Silver being a new division of the company, still has that channel of support to fall back on," Singleton said. "We wanted to take part in the expo and introduce the product locally."
