JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — The Medlock Bridge 12U beginner junior tennis team won the U12 Beginner United States Tennis Association Georgia State Championship over the weekend of July 27 in Macon at the Healy Point Country Club.
They overcame the heat and 12 other city finalists in the age group to bring home the championship. The team played three rounds of tennis before winning their playoff match on Saturday, July 28.
The next day, they played and beat a team from Southern Georgia to take the title as USTA Georgia state champions 12 and under in the Beginner Silver group.
