The Hurricane Tour traveled to Clemson, S.C., to hold the College Prep Series at Clemson. The event was held at the Walker Course at the Clemson University golf course. Over 110 players came from all corners of the Southeast to compete in this tournament designed to recreate the competitive atmosphere found at the collegiate level of competitive golf.
In addition to the already competitive environment, the winners of both boys' and girls' upper divisions received AJGA performance stars. Also, South Carolina Junior Golf Association Heritage Points and Tarheel Youth Golf Association Points were at stake.
There was a tie in the girls' 15-18 division for third place when both Whitney Stevenson of Canton and Anna Buchanan of Athens finished the tournament with a total score of 154. Stevenson's high finish came in part because of the impressive 22 pars she recorded. Buchanan used an under par average on the par 5s (4.75) to earn her a spot on the podium.
