July 18, 2012 ROSWELL, Ga. – The River Eves Elementary PTA will host an ice cream social at the lower playground of River Eves Elementary school Aug. 8 from 3 - 4:30 p.m. for all rising kindergarten and new students.
Children will have the opportunity to meet other new students on the playground while sharing ice cream and popsicles together. Parents and families will have the opportunity to meet school administrators, teachers and PTA leaders and ask questions about the school.
Parents will be able to sign up for the PTA, join the Calling All Dads program and learn the inside scoop from other parents. River Eves merchandise will also be available for purchase.
"Our annual new student and kindergarten ice cream social is a wonderful way to get a head start on school for the parents of our rising kindergarten and new students," said Principal Neil Pinnock. "Our PTA and staff are excited to meet our newest Eagles and their families. This is a fun activity that also helps our students transition to a new school. We encourage all new students and their families to attend."
River Eves Elementary is located at 9000 Eves Road in Roswell. The lower playground is behind the school and down the stairs. View images.
