MILTON, Ga. – Milton's City Council declared May Bike to Work Month during their regular council meeting April 23.
Milton was named a Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists. National Bike Month is an opportunity to celebrate the "unique power of the bicycle and the many reasons we ride," reads the League of American Bicyclists website. People bike for many reasons – to travel to work or school; to save money or time; to preserve their health or the environment; or to explore the community.
