Dear Readers:

As we begin the New Year, I wanted to thank you for reading Appen Newspapers. By reading our publications in print and online, you support community journalism.

In 2013, we'd like to continue to improve our publications and bring you and your family the news you want in a timely manner.

We are proud of our communities in North Fulton and South Forsyth and we want to continue to work for you, covering local news, government, crime, businesses and give you plenty of things to do.

In 2012, our newspaper editors were relentless in our coverage. A few I'm proud to mention include Alpharetta's City Center project that will change downtown in years to come. We provided the community with a play-by-play leading up to the final approval, and we will continue to bring you in-depth coverage and cost of this important project.

We are also closely watching Gwinnett Tech's Alpharetta campus, as well as the Avalon development.

Our editors have kept an eye on Johns Creek's government spending, roads and continued development.

In Roswell, we will monitor the government's use of the voter-approved $14.7 million bond.

Forsyth County's $100 million jail and courthouse project is also being closely followed, as it will completely change the landscape of downtown Cumming.

It could take me several pages to list all of the big stories this past year, so I will conclude with our pledge to you, our reader.

We will continue to watch local government, our schools and public safety because this is what we feel is our duty, our purpose and our mission.

Our readers are important to us and we want to hear from you so we can continue doing the best for you.

We will also entertain you, with our monthly "Northside Woman" publication, inform you with our yearly "Answer Books" and bring you the latest — online at NorthFulton.com — and with our weekly newspapers — "Revue and News," "Johns Creek Herald," "Milton Herald" and "Forsyth Herald."

In 2013, Revue and News is celebrating 30 years of community commitment in Roswell and Alpharetta.

We plan to capture the major changes we've experienced in the last 30 years and how we have been transformed.

Thanks for reading our publications and subscribing to this newspaper. Cheers to a great 2013.

Sincerely,

Aldo R. Nahed
