August 19, 2013ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Looking for a new spot to hunt for just that special piece of furniture, art or decorative object? Perhaps you need a grand piano, 19th century painting or a 6-foot vase?
"Buddy" Gash and James O'Hanlon, owners of the Cotton House Antiques and Consignments, have filled their 13,000-square-foot location at 21 Milton Avenue in Alpharetta with these and thousands of other objects, as well as a new on-site full-service custom picture framing operation (previously located a few doors down).
To celebrate their first anniversary in business, the store will host a giant tent sale on Aug. 24 and Aug. 25, which will be set up in the parking lot at the Old Canton Street entrance.
"You just never know what local consignors will be bringing through the door on a given day," said Gash. "It makes for a fun business model and we're excited to be a central aspect of the 'Downtown Alpharetta' scene."
The store is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Through October, they are open on Thursday until 8 p.m., and on Saturdays, they are open starting at 8:30 a.m. for the Farmers Market.
The Cotton House has approximately 12 antique dealer booths, with the rest of the store being consignment items. For more, visit www.cottonhouseantiquesalpharetta.com or call 770-733-1790.
