July 29, 2013ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Harry's Farmers Market, 1180 Upper Hembree Road, contributed $3,070 to the Alpharetta Greenway, Bike Alpharetta and Georgia Bikes on Thursday, July 25.
The donation is part of the store's "5 Percent Day" program where every quarter, five percent of one day's net sales go towards selected nonprofit or educational groups that serve local families and customers.
"We chose non-profits that mirror our core values," said Tracy Madigan, marketing team leader at Harry's Farmers Market in Alpharetta. "We respect our environment and recycle, reuse and reduce our waste wherever and whenever we can; practices valued by Big Creek Greenway as well."
Madigan said the money will be put towards the upkeep and expansion of the Greenway.
