February 18, 2013 ROSWELL, Ga. — Rebecca Gilbert, director of community programs at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, earned her Advanced Training for Environmental Education in Georgia certification.
After completing a rigorous three-year study and completing her final project, she will receive the first ATEEG certificate from the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources at the University of Georgia.
Laura Aikens, president of the Environmental Education Alliance, will recognize Gilbert and others who have received this distinction at the 2013 EEA Conference. The certification is valid for five years with continuing education required.
