Forsyth-based company collects food for nonprofit

January 08, 2013
ALPHARETTA, Ga. — JM Family Enterprises and its 3,800 associates recently completed the company's fourth annual "Fall Fill-Up" food drive, collecting more than 15,000 pounds of food and $56,000 for 10 nonprofits across North America.

JM Family and its subsidiaries hold company-wide food drives every year to help fight hunger in the communities where its associates live and work.

In Alpharetta, associates from JM Family and subsidiary DataScan Technologies collected canned food and monetary contributions for an equivalent donation of 22,306 pounds of food for The Place of Forsyth County.

Since 1975, The Place of Forsyth County has been serving local families facing difficult times with emergency basic needs.
