December 31, 2012 ROSWELL, Ga. — Journey Christian Church of Roswell celebrated a new name with a ribbon-cutting celebration Friday, Nov. 30.
"The name Journey reflects our belief that life is a path with many twists and turns and everyone needs some help navigating along the way," Lead Pastor Dan Garrett said.
Formerly First Christian Church, the new name came from a renewed passion to be a positive influence in the Roswell and surrounding communities, Garrett said. The passion has led to work with Hope Roswell, North Fulton Community Charities and Homestretch.
The church hosts a variety of programs for men, women, youth and children to participate in. "This is truly a sweet church family who cares about people, no matter their background," Garrett said.
