Dermatology Center in Johns Creek tackles underarm sweat

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — Dr. Leslie C. Gray, one of the first physicians in the U.S. to offer a new treatment option that provides a safe solution for excessive underarm sweat, is offering the procedure at Dermatology Center of Atlanta in Johns Creek.
Known as miraDry procedure, the treatment deals with a debilitating condition known as primary axillary hyperhidrosis.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration cleared the miraDry system following a randomized, blinded clinical study that involved 120 patients at seven clinics across the U.S. and followed them for 12 months post treatment.
The miraDry procedure is performed in the dermatologist's office in about one hour.
