MILTON, Ga. — The newest store in Milton is a tasty, healthy one. Edible Arrangements opened its doors Nov. 15 in the Target shopping center north of Webb Road on Ga. 9.
Operated by husband-and-wife team, Dhananjaya Gurramkonda and Sathya Darapu, the Milton location is their second with the franchise. Their first is in Suwanee.
"We have a passion for food," Darapu said. "It's beautiful."
The two make bouquets using cut pieces of fruit instead of flowers – a healthy, colorful and tasty alternative to flowers. Darapu said the smallest bouquet can take five minutes to assemble, but the largest takes two hours and up to 600 pieces of fruit.
The couple lives in the area and has had so much success with their other store, they felt a second would be a good fit.
"Everyone wants to be healthy," Gurramkonda said. "We feel confident we can make people happy. Everyone loves food."
