ALPHARETTA, Ga. — A plaque to acknowledge their donations and support to Bearfoot Ranch was presented to the Snooty Fox Tack Exchange equestrian consignment store in Alpharetta on Aug. 16.
Bearfoot Ranch is a Cumming-based nonprofit that provides equine therapy for children and adults with special needs or who are convalescing from serious illness and injury. It also provides rehabilitation for horses rescued from abuse and neglect.
Snooty Fox, 11940 Alpharetta Highway, Suite 129, and its owner Nan Buckner helped fund ongoing support to help a blind pediatric cancer patient undergo equine therapy, as well as a pony named "Woody," who was so emaciated that his bones were breaking the surface of his skin.
Today, Woody is a thriving 3-year-old beginning his training to become a lucky child's special friend.
