August 16, 2012 ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- Dan Cathy, president and COO of Chick-fil-A, has cancelled his appearance Aug. 28 at a breakfast networking session with the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, said Brandon Beach, president and CEO.
In a message sent to chamber members, Beach said:
"Dear Chamber Members and Friends: The Atlanta Falcons are taking flight in North Fulton with a special presentation at our Eggs & Enterprise breakfast on August 28! Dan Cathy has had a conflict come up, so mooove over cows, we're talking Falcons football!"
The Falcons are coming off their fourth consecutive winning season, with Matt Ryan leading the team to what could be its third consecutive playoff appearance.
Chief Marketing Officer and SVP Jim Smith will talk about the upcoming season, the Falcons league-leading marketing program, (Rise Up) and the community activities underway.
The Falcons outreach includes Dazzle and Dine, honoring women currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer as well as breast cancer survivors for their continued effort in fighting against breast cancer.
Aug. 28 event, to be held at the Windward Marriott in Alpharetta, and is sponsored by Georgia Power. Registration deadline is Friday, Aug. 24.
