The overall number of openings remains strong at over 700 advertised. 2011 saw strong hiring at Hewlett Packard and Siemens as they ramped up new projects in Alpharetta. The current number of openings at these two companies is down, possibly indicating that their staffing shortages are coming to an end.Scientific Games in south Forsyth shows 41 openings, the most since I've tracked the company. Mega Millions is setting record payouts. Coincidence?
Other companies showing an increase in job openings include software shops RedPrairie and Infor in Milton.
These job numbers were tabulated on March 26 and 27.
