January 16, 2013 ALPHARETTA, Ga. – The Milton Boy Scout District, which covers the cities of Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek and Milton, announced its newest Eagle Scouts, who passed their Board of Review Nov. 29, 2012.
Dylan Patel, of Troop 10, was sponsored by St. Benedict's Catholic Church. His project was the construction of a new animal shelter at High Meadows Middle School.
Benjamin Horne, of Troop 2206, was sponsored by St. James United Methodist Church. His project was the restoration and mapping of the Pineview Cemetery in Alpharetta. Horne also placed the entire cemetery plot survey on the Alpharetta Historical Society website.
Harrison Williams, of Troop 430, was sponsored by St. David's Episcopal Church. His project was the construction of an outdoor sanctuary at St. David's Episcopal Church. This included the construction of eight Ipe-style benches.
Kyle Plunkett, of Troop 429, was sponsored by Alpharetta Presbyterian Church. His project was the planning, organization and leadership of hosting a blood drive, using Life South Community Blood Center. Plunkett was able to host 34 donors.
Preston Oakes, who is a member of Troop 317, was sponsored by Perimeter Church. His project was the construction of split rail fence, along the perimeter of the outdoor auditorium at Autrey Mill Nature Preserve and Heritage Center. View images.
